EIZO goes “Behind the Scenes” at the Art Gallery of NSW
Over two weeks, from the 19th to 29th March, visitors to the Art Gallery of NSW were in for a special treat - the rare opportunity to see the work that goes on behind closed doors.
“Behind the Scenes” included contemporary installations, archival material, time-based art and large-scale pieces in various media, along with works on paper and paintings that will appear in upcoming exhibitions.
Audiences were given the chance to see the Gallery’s conservation, registration, installation, archives, curatorial and photography teams as they moved, hung, treated and documented works in public.
In addition, visitors also got to see first-hand the role EIZO monitors played in the workflow.
It must also be noted that the Gallery is making staunch progress with its new building, the Sydney Modern Project. With completion in the near future, the team is holding nothing back in preparing for major future displays.
