The ColorEdge Ambassador Program is a global collaboration that showcases professional creatives in a wide range of fields who use ColorEdge colour management monitors as an integral part of their workflow. The Ambassadors – photographers, retouchers, filmmakers, and printers – are passionately dedicated to their craft and work closely with EIZO to provide informative and inspirational content for the graphics community on a global scale.
The newest additions to EIZO’s ColorEdge Ambassador Program are eight internationally-known creatives: wedding photographers Marcus Bell (Australia) and José Luis Guardia Peinado (Spain), fine art photographers Tony Hewitt (Australia) and Jackie Ranken (New Zealand), advertising photographer Jonathan Heyer (Switzerland), wildlife photographer Morten Hilmer (Denmark), photographer and retoucher Erik Johansson (Sweden), and contemporary artist and master printer Les Walkling (Australia). Each Ambassador has an individual profile on EIZO’s dedicated ColorEdge Ambassador Program webpage which includes the Ambassador’s bio, gallery of works, and experiences with their ColorEdge monitors.
“Australia and New Zealand have been well represented in the Global Ambassador Program, once again showing the world what amazing creative talent we have here,” said Matthew Bauer, Managing Director, EIZO Oceania.

About Jackie Ranken
Jackie Ranken began her career thirty five years ago working as a darkroom technician before moving into news, sport, wedding and eventually commercial photography.
In 2002 Jackie won the title of Australian Professional Photographer of the Year with a series of landscape images captured from a small Tiger Moth aeroplane piloted by her father.
In more recent times, Jackie has also won the title of New Zealand Professional Photographer of the Year along with numerous other awards for her portrait, editorial, illustrative and travel photography. A Canon Master and also a Grand Master with both the AIPP and NZIPP, Jackie is not only exceptionally qualified but also very generous at sharing knowledge. For the past 12 years, Jackie has been co-director of the Queenstown Centre of Creative Photography in New Zealand with her husband and fellow award winning photographer, Mike Langford.
About Dr Les Walking
Without doubt, Dr Les Walkling is Australia’s leading authority on fine art photography and digital image making.
Les studied science and philosophy Monash University in the early 1970s and went on to study fine art photography; the resulting mind is not only creative, but can critically analyse the finer points of image making that most of us leave to the push of a button.
Les Walkling’s fine art photographs have been exhibited internationally and can be found private and public collections, including The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, The Centre for Creative Photography, Arizona, and more locally in The National Gallery of Australia, Canberra, The National Gallery of Victoria, and the Art Gallery of NSW.
Les Walkling has lectured in photography since the early 1980’s (he was a senior lecturer at RMIT up until 2011), but from 1993 onwards he has consulted on the subject of digital photography, preservation, archiving and colour managed workflows for a range of clients including state and federal government agencies.
Les is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Professional Photography, the Institute’s highest honour.
About Tony Hewitt
Tony Hewitt is one of the great leaders within Australian photography; a photographer who’s style is so compelling that others regularly try to follow in his footsteps.
Tony began his working life selling hi-end audio equipment before becoming a wedding and portrait photographer, but his love of photography has taken him on a much deeper and personal journey. Whether it be aerial landscapes of Western Australia’s changing coastline or studies of man’s obsession with concrete, Tony’s images are always beautiful and in many instances awe inspiring.
Tony has won numerous Australian and international awards, including the 2013 Australian Professional Photographer of the Year and he is also an Honorary Fellow of the AIPP and a Fellow of the NZIPP.
Tony is also a member of the renowned ND5 group, a group of five of Australia’s best landscape photographers that include Peter Eastway and Les Walkling.
About Marcus Bell
A third generation photographer, Marcus is one of the world’s most awarded and published wedding photographers. American Photo Magazine listed him as one of the top 10 wedding photographers in the world with the BBC listing him in the top 5 Masters of wedding photography. In Australia he reached the heights of being named “Grand Master” by the Australian Institute of Professional Photographers, the highest photography accolade in the country. Along with other countless awards from Paris to Asia he has been honored with a Fellowship by the MPA in the United Kingdom and granted his Masters by WPPI in America. He has been named Australian Wedding Photographer of the Year three times, Queensland Professional Photographer of the Year twice and Queensland Wedding Photographer of the Year four times. Awards include the highly-coveted Grand Award for Photojournalism at the Wedding and Portrait Photographers International Awards in the USA (WPPI), and the coveted International Wedding Print of the Year at the Prix de la Photographie in Paris.
Marcus’ expertise in photography has also been recognised by industry leading companies such as Nikon, Sandisk, Eizo, X-rite and Wacom who have chosen Marcus to be a brand ambassador for their photographic products.
It’s not the awards that make Marcus a great photographer. First and foremost, Marcus is simply passionate about his craft. He loves it. Everything about it. It’s his way of giving people a record of their love and their lives to share for generations – simply beautiful images that tell simply beautiful stories.
